The producers of Bigg Boss OTT 3 have lodged a cybercrime complaint in response to a manipulated video clip featuring contestants and real-life couple Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik. The controversy began when a video of Armaan and Kritika getting intimate under the sheets after the house lights went off went viral, drawing criticism for promoting vulgarity. ALSO READ: OMG! Following the circulation of this video, another clip emerged, allegedly showing the couple engaged in a sexual act under a blanket. This second video sparked further outrage, leading Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande to file a police complaint against the show's producers. In response to the backlash, Jio Cinema, the platform streaming Bigg Boss OTT 3, claimed the viral clip was fake and doctored. They have since filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime unit, requesting an investigation to identify the individual responsible for creating and distributing the manipulated video. The controversial video was initially shared by an account named 'Khabri,' which provides daily updates on Bigg Boss OTT 3. Users claimed the intimate moment took place late at night when most of the housemates were asleep. However, Jio Cinema issued an official statement denying the authenticity of the clip, stating, "JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. Bigg Boss OTT, which was streamed on JioCinema, did not have any such content. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake." They added that they are working to trace the origins of the clip and will take action against those responsible for the defamatory content.




On July 22, Shiv Sena secretary and spokesperson Dr. Manisha Kayande called for immediate action against Bigg Boss OTT 3, urging that the show be stopped. She met with Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, asserting that the episode aired on July 18 featured Armaan Malik and his second wife, Kritika Malik, in an intimate moment under the covers. Meanwhile, Armaan's first wife, Payal, who was evicted from the show, also claimed the video was fake. In one of her vlogs, she stated, "Whoever has shared the video claiming it is Armaan and Kritika's I would request them with folded hands to stop. The video is edited. I have stayed at Bigg Boss house and I can say that there are no lamps like the ones seen in the viral clip. The blanket is also different. Those who have stayed inside the house will quickly understand that the clip is fake."

For those unaware, Armaan entered the show with both his wives, Payal and Kritika. Payal was evicted in the initial weeks, but Armaan, Payal, and Kritika frequently make headlines due to their polygamous relationship. The controversy surrounding the doctored clip has only added to the couple's notoriety. The incident underscores the challenges reality TV shows face in maintaining their integrity amidst the pervasive influence of social media and digital manipulation.
